Iterative Health has acquired three cardiology sites in Texas—Beaumont, Port Arthur, and Waco—from NextStage Clinical Research. The acquisition deepens Iterative’s reach into a therapeutic area of highest need, and adds experienced researchers and deep community connections.

According to Iterative, cardiovascular disease affects almost half of all adults in the United States. However, across the nation’s many communities, access to clinical trials for life-changing treatments is uneven. Iterative Health has built its site network model around embedding research within community care settings.

Why Texas, and Why Cardiology

By strategically acquiring these sites, Iterative adds proven sites in markets where access to the clinic can be meaningfully expanded. The three sites share an active portfolio of cardiology trials, plus established and engaged communities of patients.

Not only expanding Iterative’s cardiology footprint, the addition also builds upon capabilities in GI, hepatology, and obesity.

“These established sites are a key addition as we build out our cardiology focus,” said Iterative Founder/CEO Jonathan Ng. “They bring experienced teams with deep community trust and a shared understanding that embedding research in those settings is how you advance both access and outcomes. That shared belief is what makes this the right fit. We look forward to the impact these sites will contribute.”

Iterative a Welcome Partner

Waco Cardiology Associates Cardiologist and Principal Investigator Donald Cross, MD, MHCDS, FACC, also weighed in.

“Joining Iterative Health is a natural next step for our site staff and the patients we serve,” Cross said. “Their network gives us the operational backbone and global reach to expand our impact, reach more patients across Texas, and contribute to cardiovascular research at a scale worthy of the patients who trust us with their care.”
