Aims to strengthen supply reliability and support long‑term growth in regulated life‑science markets.

Capricorn Scientific is expanding its operations in Europe with a new 4,000‑square‑meter logistics and infrastructure center in Ebsdorfergrund, Germany, aiming to strengthen supply reliability and support long‑term growth in regulated life‑science markets.
Located near Marburg and Frankfurt, the site offers direct access to Frankfurt International Airport, enabling faster national and international distribution of the company’s cell‑culture products. The investment is intended to reduce supply‑chain risk and improve scalability for customers in the biotech, pharmaceutical, diagnostics, and cell‑therapy sectors.
The facility includes modular warehouse and logistics space with multiple loading docks, optimized truck access, and separated workflow zones to increase throughput. Expanded temperature‑controlled storage—ranging from refrigerated and frozen to humidity‑regulated room temperature—is designed to support consistent handling of sensitive materials during periods of high demand.
Capricorn said the site incorporates access‑controlled areas and processes aligned with cGMP standards to meet the requirements of highly regulated manufacturing environments. Additional construction is planned, including capacity for liquid bag filling, expanded powder production, and new R&D areas. The location will also house integrated office space to support cross‑functional operations.
The company expects the expansion to create as many as 40 jobs over the next two years, underscoring its commitment to Germany as a base for manufacturing and innovation.
For customers, Capricorn says the new hub will offer shorter lead times, more predictable logistics, and greater flexibility for long‑term supply agreements. By investing in its own European infrastructure, the company aims to maintain tighter control over storage, distribution, and future production while supporting batch sizes ranging from small development quantities to industrial‑scale volumes.
