BASF Pharma Solutions has announced a global price increase for certain pharmaceutical excipients and selected active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), citing higher global energy and raw material costs.

According to the company, prices will rise by up to 20%, with increases taking effect immediately or as permitted under existing customer contracts. The adjustment applies to products supplied across BASF Pharma Solutions’ portfolio worldwide.

BASF said the pricing change is intended to support the continued supply of its pharmaceutical products amid ongoing cost pressures affecting manufacturing and sourcing. The company added that it will continue to assess market conditions and communicate any additional pricing changes if necessary.
