Cosette Pharmaceuticals Names David Bell CCO of Brands

Bell is tasked with driving performance across Cosette’s marketed portfolio of 21 brands.

Cosette Pharmaceuticals is appointing David Bell Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), Brands. Accordingly, Bell will oversee commercial functions for all 21 brands in Cosette’s marketed portfolio.

This includes sales, marketing, market access, commercial operations, analytics, and portfolio strategy among areas in which Bell will drive performance. According to Cosette, Bell will support integration and growth of acquired assets as the company advances commercial ambitions in specialty pharmaceuticals.

Overseeing Commercial Performance of Brands

In the CCO role, Bell will ultimately oversee alignment between Cosette’s commercial execution and its broader strategic and financial objectives.

He emphasized his excitement in taking Cosette “to the next phase of corporate growth by maximizing current and acquired assets.”

Bell also mentioned the importance of expanding patient access to key medicines, and alleviating patient and family burdens and suffering.

Cosette President and CEO Apurva Saraf said the appointment reflects the company’s investment in commercial capabilities to support next-level growth.

“[Bell’s] deep expertise in commercial strategy, market access, portfolio management, and P&L leadership will be valuable,” Saraf said. “We continue to strengthen our branded portfolio and integrate new assets.”

New Cosette CCO’s Experience

Bell most recently served as Vice President, Business Unit Head, U.S. Oncology at Ferring Pharmaceuticals. There, he held full P&L ownership responsibility in the United States. He was also General Manager at Melinta Therapeutics.

Prior to that, Bell spent 17 years at Schering-Plough/Merck & Co., holding regional, U.S., and global commercial leadership roles. He has additionally served as a board member of Enhanced HealthCare Solutions.

Altogether, Bell brings to Cosette more than a quarter-century of leadership experience in oncology, rare disease, and gene therapy.
